Go out, experience the world, be curious. 🧐 Get into the practice of setting some time aside to go outside and explore. 🌎 You'll be surprised at what kind of things in your every day life you might actually be inspired by. 🌱
Have a question about cameras/editing/technical skills? Ask me HERE! Your question may be featured and answered in depth on the following week’s newsletter.
Question of the Week:
“Any tips regarding the music workflow? Do you use audio from IG directly or from a music library? I've also seen people combine it, or saving a song from IG and adding them to the edit. What would you recommend?” Submitted by: Jil

Great question. For me, music is actually one of the first things I lock in. Before I even write the script or touch the edit, I choose the track that sets the tone, pace, and emotional flow of the video. Once I’ve got that, I write to the music, meaning the pacing of the voiceover, the pauses, the energy shifts, all of it follows the rhythm of the track. I want the entire piece to feel like it’s moving in sync with the music. It’s one of the easiest ways to keep viewers locked in from start to finish.
As for where I get the music from, I use the library of music on the app and overlay it on the video once its edited. And sometimes I use the music subscription sites. I have all of them just because their libraries are all different, and I dont prefer either one or the other. They all serve the same purpose.
That's all for this week's newsletter folks. I'm really excited for this giveaway and can't wait to keep hosting more of these in the future.🫡 Being part of this community means a lot to me and I wouldn't have been able to be here if it wasn't for y'all.🤝 So thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🫂
Have a great start to your week and as always, happy creating!
