Welcome to the AP Creative Community Newsletter!

Every other week, I share actionable tips, honest answers, and valuable insights to help you on your creative journey—no fluff, just real talk. This newsletter is here to support your journey, spark ideas, and build a community of creatives. 🗺 When I’m not sharing tips, I feature creatives from the community through the Creator Spotlight.

New issues hit your inbox every Sunday. Glad you’re here. 🤝

I’ve made over 2000 videos in the past few years. 🎥

And the biggest thing I learned with growth has nothing to do with hacking the algorithm. It has everything to do with discipline, clarity, structure, and building momentum the right way.

Let's break it down. ✍️

Discipline Builds Confidence 🗣

Confidence does not come first. It is built through repetition. 🔁 Every time you hit publish, especially on the days you do not feel ready, you are building trust with yourself. Not with the algorithm. Not with your audience. With you. The more you show up, the less resistance you feel. At some point you stop saying you are trying to be a creator and you start operating like one. That identity shift changes everything.

Volume Creates Clarity 🧠

You cannot refine what you have not made. Clarity does not come from thinking about your next move for weeks. It comes from posting, adjusting, and learning in real time. ⏱The more you create, the faster you recognize what feels natural, what feels forced, and what actually sounds like you. Every post becomes a rep. A small experiment. Over time your instincts sharpen and your direction becomes obvious.

Momentum Beats Motivation 🏃‍♂️

Motivation is unreliable. It fades. Momentum is built through action. The days I felt least inspired were often the days that built the most growth. Starting creates energy.🔋Finishing builds confidence. When you are in rhythm, you stop overthinking every idea. You test, post, learn, and move on. Eventually consistency becomes automatic. Your system carries you on the days motivation disappears.

After 2000 videos, I can tell you this. Growth is not about hacking the algorithm. It is about who you become in the process. If you are struggling to stay consistent, do not wait to feel ready. Start building momentum and let repetition do its work. 🤝

The creators who win are not the most talented. They are the ones who show up before they feel ready and keep showing up long enough for momentum to take over. ⚡️

If you enjoyed this and want to go even more in depth, Content College is where I teach the full system. How to write your story, editing, color, structure, and so much more —built for creators who want to level up.

Question of the Week:

How long do you spend scripting, shooting, and editing? I can't tell if I'm spending too much time on those things

Submitted by: Anonymous

From Adrian 💬

When I first started, scripting would take me close to an hour. I’d overthink every line, rewrite hooks, question everything. Now it usually takes me about 15 to 20 minutes because I’ve built the muscle.

Shooting used to take all day. I’d redo takes and doubt myself. Now most of my  videos take around 30 minutes to an hour total. Editing is about an hour for me. Sometimes more if it’s looser pacing or graphics. But that used to take way longer too.

The only reason it’s faster now is repetition. If it’s taking you a long time, thats ok. You’re still building the skill. Speed comes from clarity. And clarity comes from doing it over and over again. Focus on sharpening the skill. The speed will follow.

Hopefully you found some gems in this week's newsletter but if there's anything else you still want to get clarity on, I hope to catch you in next week's online workshop where we'll be going deeper on the one thing that I think drives strong content: real storytelling.✏️ Beat me there, don't meet me there and as always, happy creating y'all. ✌️
